I’m in joyous disbelief, the day has finally come. The time that Macross fans have been waiting for. Perhaps this is a sign that 2021 truly will be a good year? Maybe, maybe not. But regardless, I am ecstatic. I’ll take this moment. As the characters of the franchise would say…DECULTURE!

Screenshot from Macross Frontier, Episode 5; Star Date. Elmo Kirdanik expresses the term, “Deculture.” In the Macross Universe the term is used to express amazement.

The Macross anime franchise stands as one of the best and most significant mecha anime franchises of all time. Its original series brought with it a different style in comparison to other contemporary series of the genre by bringing a focus on more thought-provoking and non combat themes. The…

In my time toiling in quarantine and unemployment, I’ve had to find many different interests to pass my endless free time. Chief among the most recent ones is my developing interest in James Bond films. Of late I find myself watching a Bond film every week in order to broaden my scope and knowledge of the franchise and formulate my own opinions on every film, every actor. What better way to start off my reviews of the 007 Franchise than with the film that started it all off, Dr. No.

I will try to keep things as spoiler-free as possible.

Happy 25th Anniversary for Pokemon!

Finally at the end of this long list. Here are the top three.

Previous entries: 17–13, 12–10, 9–7, 6–4.

3. Pokemon Crystal (2000)

The enhanced version of Pokemon Gold & Silver, Pokemon Crystal is a game for the ages. Crystal stands a not just the most technically impressive Pokemon game of all time, but one of the most in all video game history. It stems from the already technological achievement that Gold & Silver own with fitting two regions into one Game Boy Color cartridge but going even further. Crystal, astonishingly, introduced an element which wouldn’t make a return until a decade after its…

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise. Suffice to say the franchise is one of my all time favorites in video games, having played every single main series game. In a sort of celebration of the series responsible for much of the entertainment in my life, I rank every single one of those releases.

I will be releasing the list in five different parts, which lead up to the anniversary of the release of Pocket Monsters: Red & Green in Japan. The format will go from; 17–13, 12–10, 9–7, 6–4, 3–1.

Getting hit with writer’s block is often a major problem for me. My ambition to becoming a fiction writer takes a hit whenever I find myself caught up on it. But, eventually I manage to overcome it, and the rainbows begin bursting from my head with inspiration and motivation brimming. But of late, I haven’t been able to pull my usual breakthrough.

Today, October 22nd was supposed to be an extremely fun day. After months of hype, the new expansion for Pokemon Sword & Shield would be coming out. With a myriad of new content to play and explore, with the return of some of my favorite Pokemon such as Dragonite and Garchomp, I was ready to jump right in and play as soon as possible. However… it’s evening time and as of now, the expansion has yet to drop.

It’s strange… As had been announced weeks ago, today was supposed to be the release date. Yet, speculation on Twitter of the…

I’m a big sucker for wholesome slice-of-life series which will leave people in tears or with butterflies. There is something to feeling good. Considering how chaotic some action or drama series are, I find it refreshing to sit down and read or watch a nice series. I stumbled on Usagi Drop in my forage for that wholesome feeling. After seeing rave reviews of the anime adaptation, the purist I am sought out the original manga series, adamant in my belief it would be better. As it would go, it was, until it wasn’t… This is a review of a manga…
